Default winshield wiper will not go back themselves in LOW speeds

so if i use LOW speed windshield wipers, i have to manually hold the stalk to use the wipers unless it MEDIUM or FAST which works fine, any ideas

What year Disco? I've got ALMOST the same problem and have been meaning to post this also. So anyone have any ideas? I was wondering if there's a relay somewhere or something? Mine don't go back on intermittent either, well they go back, but it's very jerky & slow. Low speed is OK until I turn them off, then they don't return to "home" position. I only have slow & fast on mine so I'm assuming you have a newer Disco than me.

& FYI Viking, I was using the hold the stalk option to make mine return home (bump them home) while using intermittent and it popped my fuse after doing for a while, so keep that in mind when you're using yours. I quit doing that now.

You both are most likely dealing with a failing wiper switch, not a relay.

Thanks Mike. The parts Disco I bought last week will pay for itself in misc switches alone I think as I have several that are failing or have intermittent issues. My hi-beam flash quit working last year, and a few of the ones around the instrument cluster binacle you have to fiddle with/push really hard to get them to work.
