One thing I did find out.... If your fuel pump isn't getting sufficient power, your relay under the hood is bad.

Ok. Got the parts. Off to the garage!!!!!

New fuel pump and fuel filter installed.

1st test drive: Lots more power than its ever had. Ran the snot out of it with the A/C running and hit 70mph in a decent time...I understand I'm not winning any drag races with this thing, but it's got tons more pick up than it used to.

Took it back home, let it sit in the garage for 20 minutes with the garage door closed. Fired it back up, didn't want to stall out like it has been doing. Idled nicely, in fact.

I'll be picking up my wife this evening / early AM when she gets off work. That will be the real test.

Did the 14 mile round trip to pick up my wife. Didn't throw any codes at me and ran really nicely. Almost like it was happy for a change.

I'll have to see how things go this week.

Ok.... Looks like we have a winner. It seems my crazy problem was the fuel pump. The motor is running MUCH better, no misfire codes, no lean bank codes.... As a matter of fact, NO CODES AT ALL !!!!

Now, where's the closest off road trail..........?

I am throwing 1177 and 1179. I tested the fuel pressure and got 20 psi, looks like it should be 36 psi. I will change the fuel pump and see what happens, I am thinking that is the culprit. Phil

Now aren't you glad you didn't set it on fire and push it down a hill?
