Default Wndshield Leak.

I had my winshield replaced like a 2yrs ago or soemthing and it just so happened that i was starting to see a little dampness to the corners of my headliner. Well the new screen fixed any water that was finding its way to the headliner but then it was leaking rite down the inside the glass, so i had the guy come back out to fix it. he super caulked the top of the glass from one side to the other, then finished it up with some trim. i didnt think there was any way this set up could leak. well i noticed on both sides recently not water running down but where water had run down inside the glass, like the left over streaks. now i cant remember where i read it, but it had soemthing to do with the panel of the roof or where water runoffsare, start to separate. anyone have a clue what i am talking about?

If your gutters were to start to seperate from the truck that will not cause a windshield leak.
You probally have rust around the window frame and water is getting behind the seal and past the rust.
Have the windshield removed/replaced and then re-sealed.

its strange the streaks seem to be spaced exactly the same from both pillars. All the wiring for the heater grid is at the bottom of the glass rite??

Yes, where the wires for the heated windshield plug in are at the bottom of the glass. Under the hood.

I have had windsields leak from rust before, removed and resealed fixed the problem.
Just a thought.

you meticulously take care of your rover so that it gives you no prolblems. move for school, away from your garage and the LR horror stories start unfolding. i really do love the truck though...

Do you have sunroofs? If so your leaks could be coming from the sunroof drains and not the windshield.

yes i do, but i kept them clean after tearing it it down, replacing the tubes, silicone around the outlet and hose clamping them on. im headed towards tearing it down again and unbolting the roof rack thing and resealing both sides of the mounting.
