The Venetian Green looks great on the Disco. I have the same set up.... Baja expedition RTT rack and Tuff Stuff RTT. I have a 2" lift on 32" tires and need to use the ladder extension. Is your truck lifted?

That's just a few for me.

This is the upside of the RTT. The downside is i have to stop my 3 young sons from peeing out the window of the tent

Hahaha!! Hilarious. The downside for me is ya have to be careful how much wine you have before you go to bed!

My truck is on an OME HD suspension and 245/75/16 BFG KM2's so it's taller than stock. I also had to buy the ladder extension. The first few times I had it out I either built a rock pile for the ladder or in the pic you can just see a step stool I was using. The ladder extension was the way to fly though.

Have you figured out what the heck the long strap inside the tent in the middle is for? There's a spare strap in there that makes zero sense.

The RTT has a lot of great advantages. The biggest ones are convenience, safety and the fact that they come with a built in mattress. Our RTT sets up in seconds, the mattress allows for an amazing sleep, it is safer when wilderness camping and...hey, it's on your roof! The view is way better. My family and I are very happy with this unit and we loved our old one also. If you get out camping a lot in the summer I highly recommend it.
All that being said...would I spent $2000 on a tent, hell no! These things should come down in price over the next few years I would imagine, with so many brands and people like me getting the same gear and factory pricing.
