XRAD'S IAC reset needed?
So my 2004 ALWAYS started on just a touch of the key. Now after total top end rebuild, it only starts like that when cold. If hot, she cranks a bit(about four revs). But she does always eventually start. New coolant temp sensor, new injectors, same IAC, No gasket leaks. New head gaskets. I think that the IAC is off position on hot starts and also seams a bit of gas smell (so maybe coolant temp sensor off and ECU not correctly settign injector pulse??). Not sure. read that sometimes an IAC reset has to be done by testbook. I could not find anything to set it with my nanocom, but I can see the IAC readings OK. TPS reading correctly. NO codes. No lights.
IAC is same as before the rebuild, and no fiddling with it either...
Any thoughts??

I've heard that they can get gummed up (like the throttle body) and while it would be weird for the problem to start right after a rebuild who knows if something was jostled loose or whatnot. It might be worth removing and cleaning up with come carb cleaner. It's my understanding (as flawed as that can be, mind you) that the valve is controlled by a solenoid, so it's either ON or OFF.
I have unhooked mine a couple of times and sprayed some carb cleaner thru it strictly for preventative maintenance. Man was there crud flowing out when I turned it upside down the first time!
