Hey guys...I'm looking to buy another disco, but before I do I was wondering what year you guys think is the best? I mean which is the most mechanically sound and such...

DI all the way, easier to work on as a DIY'er, cheaper parts and classic looks.
DII guys will say the same thing about DII's.
So the choice is up to you.

if you've already got a DII I would get a DI to use as an off-road toy..or a defender if you've got the $$$

For a better answer, what are you wanting to use it for, what is your budget and are you planning to modify it, be specific?
