Just Damn! I know we are seeing G4s listed this high, but are they selling, or is it just wishful thinking.

But in general, I have noticed the price for Disco's going up. What would explain this?

I have seen prices dropping progressively. I think that some sellers think they have gold when they see G4s being offered for so much and figure theirs is worth a ton.

Bottom line is that LR3s are now in the 8-10k range so D2s are on their way to D1 status, price wise.

funny,

In the Atlanta area everybody was listing running D2s for about $3000. Lately, I have been seeing a lot of people listing them for about $4000 to $6000.

Maybe I am more sensitive to the pricing now that I have spent more than my truck will ever be worth and just "hoping" the prices are going up.

Not sure why, I never "invested" in my truck worried about recouping costs. Never plan on selling them.

I don't really care for G4's personally and would never pay that much for one. I'd rather have a D2 in the color of my choice and customize/personalize it from there

^me too. I would way rather prefer a Fluorescent Orange and gold 22" Stormer wheels. But whatever some people like the look of the G4.

You'll probably find it's due to the extraordinary amount of snow this winter in the US. Prices of 4x4's always rise when there is exceptionally bad weather in the UK and europe as those who would never consider them before start realising they are the only trucks to get them to work. Capitalise while the chance remains 'cos when the weather is back to normal they'll be buying another Avensis instead
