Default Yet another question

I was under the hood this morning looking around and found a llose vacuum hose! The hose is connected to the drivers side valve cover towards the cabin. The hose is routed along the drivers side fender and stops just pat the air cleaner box. I looked around, but couldn't find any connector. The end of the hose is clean cut, not rotted or stretched. Any Ideas? This is a '95 discovery with the V8i engine. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks to those he have replied to my previous posts. you really helped!!

That sounds like the vacuum that connects to the cruise control. Does your CC work? If not...

I don't know what it connects to in the front, maybe a white plastic fitting off...something?

if the cruise works fine, then i would just not worry too much about that hose. it could be a breather tube for the differentials, but it would likely not be as pliable or easily moved if this were the case. just tuck it in somewhere where it wont get caught up in a moving parts and remember we are driving land rovers...they are enigmas, and each has its own personality--yours just happens to have some 'extra baggage' lol in terms of an extra hose....

ask your smog person what it is. Sounds like PCV hose without the plastic fitting (checkvalve.)
Worth a trip to a smog mechanic to find out.
