Default are you kidding me?

hello guys

my 2004 61000 mile disco had some coolant lost and i found out it was a leak behind the water pump,Replaced and everything is fine. The thing is a friend has a 1998 d1 with cooling issues and he bought a block tester and since he cant read english(spanish speaking country)he brought it over so i would explain to him how the test was done.We decided to show him the process on my truck and guess what the blue solution turned greenish on my truck! What the hell!it does not overheat does not smoke no oil coolant mixture no misfires nothing no more coolant lost since water pump replacement.now i am worried do i have to replace the hgs.should i leave it alone until more symptoms arise?pour in some gasket sealer?please advise me on this wierd issue .i will truly appreciate it.thanks in advance

I would not pour any fix it stuff in there. the test is telling you that you are mixing exhaust gas into the cooling system. usually that is accompanied by other cooling system issues, as it will add pressure to an already pressurized system, but that is usually. anything is possible, you could have gotten a faulty (false positive) read. you could do it again, make sure you are making a good seal to the tank. the head gasket doesn't need to overheat for failure. they can and do slowly deteriorate. the overheating can cause sudden failure and speed the "replacement needed" issue.
