Hi,
I have Discovery Sport 2019 model. I had a small accident and the gear *** is stuck in the open position. It is not going down when I shut down the car.
It is remaining in the open position.
Can you please suggest what can I do to bring it into down position?

 

I had mine replaced on my 2016 under CPO warranty last year because it was resetting itself mid-drive. BUT, I've also been in there installing a tow controller and it's pretty easy to get to and swap out. You can probably find a lightly-used pull on eBay or a salvage yard. Start in the console storage compartment and just pop out that whole center piece the gear shift **** is attached to. All that's holding the gear shift in place are a few screws and an electrical quick disconnect.
