You should actually start wheeling.

Very true.
Find me a reasonably close wheeling spot without questionable legality and I'm in.

I don't care for the crappy oem rad. Shytty design for the cooling system too! I absolutely love my setup and recommend it. No more goofy *** purging or having to worry about expansion tank/cap and was fairly simple to adapt (not re-invent). Haven't overheated once, runs cool pushing it up steep highway inclines at ^^4k rpm's^^ (187*) and stays cool when on the trails. My e-fans never even come on unless I'm using the A/C!

Meh. Pretty much every new car uses an expansion tank. I'm happy with the way my truck is running.

think i am wanting to add an oil pressure gauge i do not like this lite in the morning, i want to know whats there for pressure, need to know ideas for adding this gauge

i am also thinkin about resetting the adaptive values or switching to the 4.6 programming after i do the 1k mile oil change

btw i am about 400miles into breakin and getting 13.7 mpg on super and drove to virginia with no issues, engine sounds fine thinking if there was gonna be a problem it would have shown up by now

I run the glow shift sandwich adapter with the "remote sender kit" to get oil pressure. No complaints.

i would also suggest a sandwich, simply because you are getting you information from a different location.
A lot of people T off the original gauge, but you are just getting the oil pressure from one source, the timing cover.
if i am going to have redundant equipment it defeats the purpose if the information coming from the same sources.
JMHO

for those interested an online search turned up the compression should bump the ratio from 9.35:1 up to the range of 10.35:1 to 10.9:1 (approx)

Piston dish volume: 4.0-litre, 13.23 cc. 4.6-litre, 22.29 cc.

There is more to it than that. The 4.0 has a stroke of 2.80" and a rod length of 6.105" for a total crankshaft CL to wrist pin CL of 8.905".

The 4.6 has a stroke of 3.232" and a rod length of 5.893" for a total length of 9.115"

link to an e book on these engines https://books.google.com/books?id=gm...%204.0&f=false

and there is also supposed to be a paint mark in the block to designate quality of the block

for gauges you will want electric, you would not want to bring hot oil or hot water into the passenger compartment, especially up on the dash. jmho
Thats also good to know about the CR nothing that cant easly be adjusted with qualilty head gaskets.
