I am trying to find out who makes the 4.0l v8 inthe 1996 disco im looking at buying?

LR bought this engine from Buick about 20 plus years ago. Its a tried and true engine and there's alot of sources available for parts.

so its somewhat a GM motor? is there another car this motor was used in other than the LR?
