Howdy! New to the forum, just bought a 2003 free lander HSE and it has a completely destroyed motor. As near as I can guess it probably jumped timing and the interference engine ate itself. I was looking for videos on the Internet for how to replace the engine one video was saying that some Land Rover engines were also used in Volvo’s. I haven’t had any luck in locating a decent used engine from a Land Rover free lander in the salvage yards by me and was wondering if anyone can tell me if the 2.4 L petrol Freelander engine was also used in any other kind of vehicle.
