Bad weekend with other cars and walls
backed into a car.
Backed into a wall in the parking lot.
My back bumper is pretty bad now.
I understand this is a skin type of fitting?
Where to get one and not get totally ripped off?
Thought about just putting black epoxy on it and sanding it but..
Seems all this stuff is $500 and up.
For a $2,000 truck - no way.

Use a product and an approach like this: How to repair plastic bumper covers.
You can find an autobody supply place in your area and go see what they have. Typically, they will carry something that doesn't require a specialized gun to mix and apply the material. You can also buy a small cartridge, force the stuff out on to a mixing surface and blend it by hand before applying it. Once it has been put back together and smoothed out, you can either spray it with the correct color or use rattle-can bedliner. One big advantage of the bedliner approach is that your finish work can be horrible and no one will notice.

I'd start with a new rear view mirror and go from there. Hehe, just kidding.
Sorry it got banged up. I'm dreading my first hit because the bumpers seem really fragile. I do like the fix 04duxlr mentioned for small cracks though.

It wors for big fixes too. You just need to back it up with something. You can use the bumper as a mold to lay up a bunch of fiberglass, then peel off the glass, drill a bunch of holes in it and slap it over the damage on the back side of the bumper after you have smeared the glue all over it. Then never hit it again.
