I recently blew an engine, which the dealer claims to have no responsibility. Only dealer service, and after a coolant flush, I developed a leak. After investigation, thermostat was clogged with debris. Dealer denied anything to do with their work. Funny huh? So they offered $20k to replace the engine, BUT they could not locate one in the US. Said it could be 4-6 months to get one. So I towed the car home. I found a business in CA called Tapa Jaguar. They offer rebuilt engines but with reliability enhancements like thicker timing chain, better gaskets, harder head bolts, etc. and 1 year warranty. All for $13k and includes shipping and return of core. Got a local performance shop to do the work for $4k plus parts.
