Thanks for the quick reply and good information. Understood the electrical is a big deal, and might be the deal breaker for me. I don't have the experience or time to learn it. Mechanical stuff, no problem. Any information appreciated and happy holidays!

Also, at this point, I can't recommend RW-Engineering anymore. I'll post a more complete review in a bit with details on my experience and the solution I had to develop.
Great Thank for the info. I was about to buy the can bus from rw. now I will wait and just figure it out myself. I have been going over both electrical manuals. I have not spent time on the swap yet because im away. hopefully I don't run into too much challenges. It will be a while before I get to it. hopefully march.

Now I am working on the install. Over all its been about 2 weeks time.lots of rain so didn't do much. Now the discovery is in the shop so I can work on it no matter the weather.

I had to install in 2 parts. Trans and Tcase first.

Then Engine. I still have to make engine mounts.

I have a concern on how far forward the engine sits. Now I think I should have gone with different kit.

Looks like I will be making new Tcase mounts. which then means I will need new F&R drive shafts too. not sure what else yet. Or I can Back Track and get a different kit.

I'll take a crank pulley picture this weekend but, in the meantime, here's an in-progress photo and a shot showing how far back cylinder 8 is. It does look like my motor mounts put things a bit farther back.

From what I remember being told by Todd at ACE, when he did the L83/6L80 swap, the Marks 4wd 6l80 adapter is roughly the same length as the RW engineering one. The difference is that the Marks 4wd mounts move the transfer case back about an inch and a half or so, which gets you some much needed space at the front. The RW engineering setup just uses the regular mounts and doesn't have replacements for the transmission, so the engine sits (too) far forward. It sounds like fabricating some transmission mounts might be the solution for you.

Todd ended up moving the transfer case back as far as possible on the Marks mounts (may have been modified) and got new driveshafts. He still ended up moving the radiator forward with that setup I believe.

I vaguely remember talking to RW-Eng about the two adapters and Nick mentioned that there was about 3/4” difference in thickness so it may be a combination of Marks 4WD having a slightly thinner adapter and their mounts moving the T-Case back. I want to say the t-case ended up about an inch farther back than stock.

I got my Marks 4WD from Advance Adaptors. Not sure if they have any in stock at the moment but I got them pretty quickly.

I am currently using stock placement. yesterday I worked on motor brackets to use with stock t=rubber mount. I didn't finish it so I decided to make new mounts that were much easier and do well. I will see how it goes. Though the work I have to put in I thing the Marks 4x4 would be the better kits. I was told by nick at rw the the forward placement would help add weigh to front tires when going up hills or rocks. I don't think I need that. though late I may make new mounts again to push the engine back and get drive shafts to fit. Here are the pics of my mounts I did today. I painted them black waiting for them to dry. but test fit to make sure it fits.
What intake manifolds are you using. I will test fit my stock one again but it still may not Clea in the rear. I have to push the engine to the passenger side to clear a small part of the engine. I prefer not to do that.

still a clearance issue with the manifold.

I ground down the rear but still not enough.
