Which body systems are you wanting to tie into? I've got full gauge cluster functionality right now. My shifter indication is incorrect, but not really a deal breaker in my mind (I have some plans/ideas to remedy that). ABS operation is independent of ECU/TCM. Traction control is the main one people are concerned about. I am working on my tune right now. I need to fix an ABS sensor and I should be able to test traction control operation. Where there is a will, there is a way. It's just a matter of how much you want to put into it to solve the puzzle.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but was there any progress on getting the ECU/TCM of the LC9 and 6L80e to communicate with the Body systems of the Rover? I would love to hear options that might be different than (the probably preposterous idea of) trying to wire in a CAN to Analogue conversion to "sub into" the old ECU and TCU wiring.

I have a fully functional gauge cluster. I will try to get my ABS stuff fixed so I can test traction control. I kept the Rover ECU to use as a pass through essentially. Passenger side cylinder head got the Rover coolant temp sensor. The LS has a power, ground, and signal for the crank. I tapped the signal wire and fed that to (I believe pink with black tracer) one of the crank wires on the Rover wiring. As far as the traction control. The LS signals are not even close to the same. I am simply attempting to utilize the closest signal from the APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor). Depending on what else you need to do, there are some other things you can tap into. Let me know if you have questions.
It's been a long time but I dont have much of an update. just a few parts purchases.
I installed the transfer case shifter from 04 d2.
I also ordered the adrenaline 4x4 front and rear radius arms from Lucky 8.
I plan to switch transferase adapter in the future. I just bought the marks 4x4 adapter since they sell it separate without the mounts.
I am still debating on using a Camaro PS pump or switching to electronic Volvo pump in the future.
im still learning to do the canbus.

This plug is not necessary I just included it. I used it because I want to have a functioning evap system. I think I just ended up making new wires from GM ECM,
I had time to do some upgrade work but I ended having to repair leaks. I was checking for leaks. rtv from job from 2022 is holding up. This time I did black rtv for sunroof frame seal and around the alpine windows. as of now it's no longer leaking. but I will leave headliner off and check again after the next heavy rains.
While I was around I was able to pick up the 2 Tcases. Both have CDL I will refresh them and they will be ready to replace or to do another swap later.
Hello, how can I activate the XYZ safety switch for the 4L60 transmission to make it compatible with my Rover Discovery 2? My second question is, can I replace the Rover's ECU, and if so, what systems will I lose if I do so, since I will be using an LS engine and transmission? Thank you all.
