Hi Losinov. Agree with you. Captain Aaron has a kit with brackets to convert to the GM steering pump. I followed his parts list and everything fit perfectly. Wish I knew about this setup as the Rover accessories caused me issues.
When I did my swap updated the alternator, which caused the Tensioner position not to work. After several iterations, found the following LS Swap Alternator Bracket SKU 551780-3 to work very well. That change along with needing additional cooling Derale Fan Shroud Part Number 16842 and position of Rover steering pump left no room for the mechanical waterpump. Switched to an electric Mezier remote waterpump. Then I did the GM steering pump install and could now fit a standard mechanical pump. Lesson learned just go all GM accessories.
Now I just need to figure out how to go replace the Rover AC Compressor.! Current setup is working well for me. And looks pretty clean.
Can Any1 share some advice on how to straighten out my engine? Back a couple years ago when I first dropped the engine in, I had all motor & trans mounts loose, but nothing was budging. I tried pretty hard but eventually settled on having it a bit crooked.
Im getting pretty fed up with inaccurate readings from the Rover sensor in the upper rad hose since where it should really be is just too close to the firewall. It's been like this for 2 years or so now, driveline is fine as far as I can tell... Idk what I have to do to get the straightened up at this point.
I had the same problem. I took the mounts back out, opened up all the holes.
