Default just will not start

Hello, I am a new 1997 owner and I am already having problems. This discovery ran great for a week and this sunday morning it will not start. Now that I think of the only that changed is that I read somewhere that I can put middle grade 89octane in the disco. I put ten gallon Exxon and it ran okay. I will not do that again. Could this cause the disco not to start or is there a history for starting problems. Is there a good place to take it to for service including the landrover dealership in new york city anywhere. Also where is a good website or location to get less expensive part and service in NYC. My mechanic can not figure out why it will not start. Help

Well, first of all we need to know some more details. Does the engine turn over when you turn the key. Does it make any noise at all?

Hello, I told the mechanic also that I had the car detailed when I got it and also had the engine washed, they started laughing. I found out today that that may have been the mistake of the century. I got it to a land rover service place that does 85% land rover and a couple of sensors I must have damaged. This may be a $500.00 engine wash. I did not know not to wash the engine. I learn and pay as I go along.
thanks for the help.
