my girlfriend drives a freelander that gets a dead battery quite often......

took it in to t he shop......they said they fixed it.......was fine for awhile.....now its doing it again....


basically it seems as though the battery is VERY quick to drain.....usually it happens if she leaves a door slightly ajar etc or radio on etc.....but it d oesnt have to be f or long.....10 minutes or so is plenty to cause it to not start.......but a portable jump starter on it and it starts no problem.....

although usually its carelessness on her part......not always.....sometimes it just does it for no obvious reason.....


any ideas other than making sure doors are slammed shut tight and all accessories off???

any one else run into this problem?

 

sounds like alternator issue.
