My 02 Freelander steering wheel lock will not relase. I've try both keys and some graphite power lube but the key will not turnto relase the steering lock. Could there be a problem with the chip or reciever?

Neverexperienced iton my F/L but on some other vehicles I remember that moving and playing the steering wheelleft to right while turning the key does it! See if it works on yours.... Good Luck!
