2003 Freelander engine repair
Hi everyone ! I checked out your forum and this is an awsome site for Rover enthusiasts. Very glad I joined up and hope to make some friends here. Now, down to business...
I currently, and unfortunately own a slightly broken 2003 Freelander with a 2.5 litre V-6 gas motor.
I am removing the oil pan to install new rod bearing inserts. I hope I caught it in time before the crank was trashed. Can anyone tell me if there are bolts ect. in-between the engine and transmission? If so, then I gotta pull the engine to get the pan off...grrr

We also find that most classic car owners don't understand ignition points, and are too intimidated to service them on their own. The truth is that points were a very simple solution to the complex problem of telling your engine when to send a spark to each spark plug.
