Default 98 Freelander rear window & wipers not working!

Hello Everyone,

New Member Here, Old problem. I need some help with my 98 Freelander please. I had my battery godown and so I recharged it, no problem. Works fine now. But, I tried to open the rear door and nothing happened! I can hear the micro switch being activated and the door will open, but the window does not drop 1' down to allow free access. I tried holding the button on the key fob for about 30 secs and still nothing! I tried opening it with the key andyouguessed it, nothing! I have checked all the fuses and nothing hasblown. And, the rear wiper doesn't work as well! When I push therear window switch to open, itjust beeps. I removed the batterycables and reconnected and nothing happened. Still the rear window and wiper does nothing! Can anyonehelp with anysuggestions or a fix please? Thanks!

remove rear tail door inside panel and check power and ground to window motor when door is shut operating window switch. i think you need a window motor/cable assembly.
ps. when LRSUX leaves the standard spam post please flag and send p/m to admin about this requesting his/her removal from forum, thank you.

I have exactly the same problem. After the insurance company fitted a clear box in to my car. They came back and didn't find any problem. So any ideas how to fix it?

The ecu has been reinit because you changed your battery
There is a procedure existing for doing that
