Can't open my car :'(
Hello everyone.
I just bought a freelander from 1999-2000. It's a Land rover freelander 2.0 5 doors..
Okay, I bought it like 2-3 days ago, and I'm very new to the car, so unfortunately the other night I left the lights on, and when I came back the next morning, neither my key nor the "remote" worked.. I'm assuming it's 'cause there's not enough power in the car to turn the security system off so we can open the door? We called some auto-assistance and he tried to open the doors by putting a small metal-thingy through the window (which we managed to pull down a bit) and pull the handles, but seems the security system has made sure that the car can not be opened from the inside;s .. It's christmas soon and everything so I really need the car, since me and the kids are going to visit their grandparents.. so I do hope that some of you with experience and knowledge about the freelander series maybe know a way or solution to this problem.
Regards Simon

It is easier to pop the bonnet with a hanger on the cable and place a charger on the battery, the door thing usualy makes a mess to no avail, The key should work though on the drivers door, so i cant understand this scott
