Driver's Door Lock Actuator Replacement ALR9783
My driver's door lock actuator crapped out. Can lock/unlock all doors from fob and driver's door switch, sans driver's lock.
Purchased ALR9783, and removed the door panel and plastic film without damaging any pins or trim. Looking up into the door, this doesn't look like an easy job. Is there a sequence as to how to tackle this? The window is operating properly and really don't want to mess with detaching the regulator/motor.
Thanks much in advance. Peace.

Solved with a hand mirror and a flash light. No issue really...
Disconnected the cable from the interior door handle. It stayed attached to the actuator when removed from door.
Disconnected the door lock rod by pulling it out of green socket.
Disconnected the link rod from the exterior handle at the blue connector on the swing arm on the actuator, before I unscrewed the actuator from the door.
The exterior lock cylinder connector will fit into the white plastic circle on new actuator without removing the exterior handle.
I had to remove the lower left bolt on window glide to remove old, and install new actuator.
Connect the interior handle cable to the new actuator before installing it, and close the 'little door' on the new actuator.
Placed actuator into door and aligned the exterior lock cylinder into the white plastic circle.
Reinstalled the three exterior torx screws around the latch securing the new actuator to the door.
Reused the blue connector for the link rod (exterior handle), and snapped the link rod into the connector.
Reinstalled the interior handle cable to the handle.
Popped door lock rod back into the green socket on new actuator.
Plugged in electrical connector, and door window/lock control panel, verified operation, all good.
Thanks anyway all!

And - I just replaced the REAR door lock actuator - start to finish - if I can do it so can you...
1). Remove door pull handle cover, by pulling out on the lower rear of the silver trim handle cover (2004-05). Remove three Phillips screws that are behind the cover.
2). Remove one small Phillips screw from 'open handle' bezel and slide bezel off.
3). There are roughly 10 one inch push pins securing the panel trim to the door. Do not pry these with a screwdriver. Go to a paint store and purchase a rigid plastic scraper to slide behind the panel, or better yet, use an actual trim removal tool.
4). Lift door trim panel up over the upper lock rod.
5). The tweeter will need to be disconnected at the white connector. Pull connector straight out to detach. This can be a little tough. Be patient.
6). The window switch will need to be disconnected from the panel. Pull connector downward while holding detach clip.
7). Carefully remove plastic moisture barrier from actuator area only.
8). Unplug actuator.
9). Disconnect cable from interior door pull handle - it will stay attached to actuator during removal.
10). Detach lock rod, and link rod from actuator by reaching up in front of actuator inside door and pushing each rod outward.
11). Remove three Torx screws from door latch area.
12). Carefully remove the actuator from door - pay attention to the child safety switch as it needs clearance.
13). Open little door on the actuator and remove the pull hand cable. Install on the new actuator and close the little door.
14). Installation is the previous steps in reverse. Be sure to tape the plastic moisture barrier if it will not stay in place.
Good luck!

Would someone post a diagram of the connection for the actuator?
Drivers door actuator has been acting weird for long time and I still have no solution for it.
it locks from the remote/button in the car, but it doesnt unlock from the controller or the button.
i connected the drivers actuator to driver rear door, and it locks/unlocks without a problem.
thanks!
