Freelander engine problems..
Dear fellow tired freelander owners,
You are not a lone(Freelander Transmission Problems - Car Forums - Edmunds)
Please log onto change.org ( http://www.change.org/petitions/land...eelander-engi- nes ) and sign a petition calling on Land Rover to recall their faulty engines.
Its about time Landrover did the right thing! On an international scene, many more customers have no voice and options for recourse and this petition is our way to say we wont be bullied into low settlements, for the few with this option. These problems on wheels are still being sold to clueless customers and this is just wrong!
Please help put an end to this by clicking on the link above to sign the petition for a recall of all the freelander engines burning holes in our pockets, and almost killing people due to their design defaults that cause them to malfunction!

Sorry but the freelander died a horrible death. It was the last of the rover mg engines. The same company that couldn't build a vehicle for anything. Its a bad unfortunate series of problems that can't be corrected. Just junked, It is basically up to the customer to decide if they want to buy a freelander or any vehicle by checking out the vehicle and its problem and having it inspected.
Plus all the guys that made those engines went out of business when MG rover shut down, they ran out of new engines as soon as the 05s roled off the line. By 2006 every engine replaced had to be returned cause they needed the old ones. The one ones in turn got the same crap added to them and they leaked just as bad. But rover had no choice. There wasn't any way to get those engines especially since the chinese now owned rover.
