i had a power loss problem with my 2.5 v6 freelander 2001.

the cause finally diagnosed as fuel pump failure.

i have purchased both the fuel pump and fuel filter, but there was a small white part that comes with the fuel filter along with O rings that i couldn't figure out where does it go.

solved..
it goes into the fuel pump .. but mine is an aftermarket one which i had to modify to fit the piece into it. it gives better sealing for the fuel.
