Default Gas indicator upside down

Hi I bought a Freelander 1.8 2002 and the gas indicator is upside down ?
Could someone please help me with what is wrong and is this something I can fix myself ?

There is also a light with a "!" and a car driving downhill that is flashing constantly ? Could someone help me with what this means ?

Help would be appreciated.

Jonas

What do you mean by "the gas indicator is upside down?"
There is a "F" (full) and a "E" (empty) right? Where does the needle point?
Have you put gas in it at all?

Yeah! I just goes down to empty when its full and the light is on. And it goes up when it is going empty. Could it just be the plugs on the indicator are switched ?

Man that is weird.
Has the fuel pump ever been replaced before?
I suppose it is possible for the plug to be wrong but I dont know as I have never seen the plug on a Freelander.

Not sure about the fuel indicator, never heard that before. The flashing car going downhill is your hill decent function activated. You should have a yellow button in front of gear shift. Just hit the button to deactivate, light on dash will go out.
