All the side glass on cars is very strong but it has a weak point and you need to hit that point, you can break a window with a rock if you hit the right spot.

Wish I had seen this post sooner as I would have told you to crawl under the car with a battery charger or jumper cables and get power to the starter which would have given you power to the entire car.
Had you NOT used SuperLock this would not have been a problem.

After a lot of searching I found the answer at Freelander 1 Bonnet latch mechanism - Land Rover Zone

I had the same problem, flat battery, car somehow stuck in Superlock.

I simply got an l-shaped metal tent peg, pushed it through the grill of my facelift FL hooked the tentpeg behind the spring and pulled with molegrips.

Up popped the bonnet - took just a few seconds!

I envy people who have a fob, I don't have one. When I bought the car, a Discovery 300 TDi which was needed for doing some towing, it worked OK. The seller said "The fob broke so we just used the key". At the time I thought that all I was missing was a luxurious lazy way of opening the doors but there is more to the fob than that. The car went like a bat out of hell but was rather thirsty so I suspect that the injection pump has been turned-up. In fact I felt that the car had over 120 HP available as White-Van- Man performance was available by the bucket-load. Owing to the thirst the car was not used unless heavy towing was needed so the battery went flat. When it was recharged clicking noises occurred all over the car. This would have been the superlock motors activating. The Main Dealer says that the car is too old and that they don't have the software. The independent specialist that they recommended just about crapped his pants when the problem was mentioned. This is absolutely crazy as it looks as if they want me to scrap the car just because the fob is missing. Two approaches come to mind (1) Scan the diagnostics and get the code to make a new fob. (2) Find a way to disable the superlocking.

Unfortunately everyone is keeping stumm so they either don't know or they won't tell. Perhaps they think I am a car thief. Duh!

Default Smashing the Window

The car park was full of people stearing at me trying to brake the window. You wouldn't believe how hard was that window. I gave it a hard punch 5 times with a massive hammer and it didn't brake but I finally managed to smash the window. I put the keys into the ignition and guess what? The car didn't start. I am quite lucky as live next door to Halfords so I went there and one of their guys took a voltmeter to check the battery. The battery was so flat that it wasn't even able to turn on the display on voltmeter. I got a new battery for £80, started the car and was trying to unlock it with the engine running. It didn't help either so I took the keys out and pressed unlock button on my key fob a number of times and YES it opened! I have to give a very good feedback to Halfords as well as they were very helpful!
I don't think that AA would have fixed it for £150 maybe £150 plus £100 for the the battery or maybe even more. I think that smashing that window was the only one solution to open the car.

I didn't need to smash a window as the local vandals did it without even being asked! The joys of living in Bude or Gulag Bude as I now call it since so many "problem people" have been bused-in. The Kremlin of the County as I call it, makes money this way. Unfortunately Joe Public gets the thefts, assaults and vandalism. One person that I know was stabbed very seriously, allegedly by a problem person who had been bused-in. A lot of whitewash was used as the police don't like to upset The Kremlin.

It seems prison rules need to apply here. This is how it is in the US, I'm not sure how the Russian system works, but anyway:

- The inmates check out the 'fresh fish' (newcomers) and 'size them up' (test them).
Sometimes the veteran inmates demand 'paperwork' (court documents showing what the new inmate is in for)

- If an inmate is determined to be no good, either because he will steal from other inmates, or he's a "snitch", or committed crimes against kids, he is "rolled out" (expected to request that the guards transfer him to another cell block.). Failure to transfer to another cell block results in that inmate getting beaten down by the other prisoners, or worse.

Additionally, violating any of the cell block rules the inmates themselves layed out most likely results in a beatdown (or worse) and/or that inmate being 'rolled out'.

I'm sure the people in your villiage can find a way to adapt this to deal with the troublemakers being bussed in.
