Need help possible intake plenum issue 04 freelander
2004 freelander
2.5
Replaced all of the plugs and one coil which was damaged
It is pulling a manufacture code manufacture control P 1470 and P 1472
I replaced both VIS motors
I verified proper fuel pressure
I have a genuine Land Rover mass airflow sensor on the way because the mass airflow sensor is faulty and the vacuum lines all of the plastic lines on top of the engine I have those on order because they have a significant vacuum leak
However I hear a little bit of a rattle at idle and its got a very loping idle
its got a random multiple cylinder misfire with a few confirmed misfires on cylinder one and four and occasionally cylinder two even after changing the plugs and the VIS motors
So Im starting to think if anyone has any advice or insight on the runners and the springs that sit beneath the balance VIS the one that the connector faces up towards the hood
Please let me know what to check I am a technician Ive never really taken the liberty to Tear a Land rover down but its not something I am not capable of doing
Im confident
If in fact the runners inside the manifold for the upper Plenum are bad my best option would be to replace the intake manifold Plenum?
2004 2.5L
bank 1 front 3 cylinders 1,3,5
bank 2 rear 3 cylinders 2,4,6
