try renting the tools from the dealer.

 

2004 v-6 2.5L; timing disturbed; crank in "safe" position; cams set and locked correctly; holes don't align for flexplate locking pin as per factory service manual, why not? at this point, should i rotate crank so as to allow for pin insertion prior to timing belt installation?
