03 Range Rover hse sitting low in the rear....????
hey everyone. i bought a3 range rover hse a couple months back with a coil over conversion already done. well ever since i got it has sat really low in the back and squats when i get on the gas. any suggestions, do you think maybe tightening the coils would help, they are really soft in the back. how hard is it to convert it back to the airride, i would very much prefer it.....any help is greatly appreciated...
you can't tighten coils, you probably have the coils for the front on the back, the coils are marked if you got them from strutmasters, 31's go on the back and the 30's go in the front, i just did my conversion and it's perfect
I have no idea of what the reason is, but if the coils were swapped then would it not make more sense that fronts would be stiffer since it holds the engine? Or is it a length issue as well instead?
rear springs are actually always stiffer because they would be asked to carry cargo, trailer etc. thus they would need to be a bit stiffer than fronts, engine isn't as heavy as say a few adults in the back and 6 or 7 bags of dog food
yea, i think its all their besides the air-struts. ill try to look for a label on the coils, if there isnt any, is there another way to tell. the front is deffin itely alot stiffer than the rear i think. how hard is it to switch them around? id guess about an hour or two on some jack stands?
