Default 04 Range -Water in the nav system trunk compartment~

Hello Rover friends:
I'm trying to seek help on my 2004 Range Rover. We had severe thunderstorms for weeks and I recently lost power on the navigation box I checked it was fine today the cd player was at least playing- no moisture then today it rained really hard and now the radio nor the cd player play. I checked the back trunk compartment again and the navigation system and side walls were soaked inside the trunk compartment. Where do I find these majic hoses to blow through and stop all this water from coming to my system? It was like new before I'm hoping my towels will help dry it out. But it looks like I'll be purchasing another MkIV system. The navigation screen lights up but the land rover sign no longer displays nothing displays it just glows. How do I do a hard reset. Where is the water coming from. Help?!?! It even started affecting my turn signals- they work but the arrows won't light up on the center console. nuts.... I just left a discoII for 4 yrs of electrical problems and now this excitement!

Sounds like there was some severe damage done to the computer back there. Having dealt with computers and moisture in the past. The best thing you can do is put the RR in a dry environment and wait for the moisture to evaporate with the power completely off (battery disconnected). One of your drain tubes might be clogged with debris or have been dislodged. I don't have a whole lot of experience with the MKIII rovers, but generally the drain tubes can be accessed by removing the headliner.

what you need is a water shedder behind the electronics. chances are the nav is toast. You might find the leak but most likely not. The trick is to fix what is broken and install the water shedder behind it. There is a bulletin on GTR for the repair and the part number.

Check with the local dealer on ordering the part and the bulletin.
