Bought an 1987 Range but did not include a starter. I have purchased a starter and have wired it in, but am unable to decide if its the proper wiring or not. I anybody has the diagrams for it, or knows of where to get it, I would be highly appreciative.

Download the RAVE large file of service manuals. It it you will find the Land Rover Service Manual for 1987 Range Rovers. It's a very detailed manual complete with schematics (IIRC). It will be a wealth of information for you.
