1999 Range Rover Several Symptoms
Hey guys,
I have a 99 Range Rover with 115,000 miles. She purred like a kitten until this morning when my EAS wasn't raising. Since the colder weather every morning when I come out she is on her bump stops. I replaced the air springs not more than a month ago. Each time I would get out of the vehicle the rear right would have a leak sound, but I also had a slow leak in that tire so didn't think much of it. Dumb me pulled the EAS relay and while the engine was running (wasnt thinking) pulled the alternator relay above it to swap and now I have an aray of problems. I get gearbox fault and the SRS light comes on very dim. The service engine soon light also came on once it finally cranked. however once I tried backing it out of the garage she went dead and now just clicks. I had also hooked up a cable and software I received from RSWsolutions.com which I have used before to unlock the EAS system and had no problems. I am not sure what is going on, hopefully maybe just the battery, but would appreciate any input. I did just replace the batter a couple months ago, but replaced it with a blim. Could this be the problem?
I was also receiving traction failure and traction overheat intermittently prior to all of this happening. Like I said, she drove like a dream with no engine or shifting problems before today.
Thanks in advance..

*****UPDATE******
I waited about 30 minutes and went out and it fired right up. I drove it to the end of the street but the RPM, MPH gages aren't working nor are my heat/air cluster not working. Radio will come on but goes right back off. Pulled back into the garage and let it sit idol for a minute or so and it choked out and went dead.

******ANOTHER UPDATE********
I can jump my Rover off but after a minute or so of sitting idol, it sputters and goes dead. Does this sound like the alternator? Could me simply pulling the althernator fuse while it was running damage the alternator or may have this just have been the straw that broke the "bank" so to speak?
Thanks again,
Michael

***********YET ANOTHER UPDATE*************
I leave jumper cables on my wifes BMW and nothing goes dim, such as the lights, heat/air control, instrument cluster works, however my Range Rover started overheating so I quickly shut it down. Can anyone help diagnose this problem? Alternator?
Thanks,
Michael
