Default 2004 RR 4.4 HSE Starting Issue

Occasionally when I turn the key in the ignition I get no reaction at all from the starter / engine. All of the accessories and panel lights react like normal but nothing else. Is this symbolic of something - is this designed in orderto make me aware of something, (like a reminder to check fluids),or is this evidence of an impending ignitionproblem? I'd say it happens maybe once infifteen starts or so, no real regularity.

If it would have been a sign of something it would not have been just occasional. Might be a faulty wire somewhere. Check your fuses 1st, maybe there's a problem there.

All I can say, is it is not normal, be it an ignition switch or starter relay possibly.

Thanks guys. I suspected this wasn't something that should be occurring. Now that I'm paying more attention to it I see that it's happening more frequently than it used to. A couple of times it's even bumped the starter over barely then quit. To this point the engine has always started right up on the second attempt. At least I know now to add this to my laundry list for the dealer on my next visit. Vehicle only has 32k miles.
