2008 rr hse just died
Warranty just expired in May
42000 miles
Was driving home about 2 miles from my driveway when all of a sudden engine died
Nothing
All electrical fine
In access key position had non power steering and got her off the road with some difficulty
Couldn't restart
Seemed as if not getting fuel but starter kept churning til I turned key off
1/3 tank fuel
Fuses all good
Gas cap on ok
No fluids on ground
No dash faults
Tow it to my local station who have LR experience
NOT fuel pump as I hoped
PCM plus " multiple" other "module" failures.
Their rec was to take it to LR. In case they could simply reset and or reprogram the modules OR perhaps I could luck out as he said he thinks one of those modules may be covered under one " federal emissions warranty"
Pretty much all Greek to me
Thought I'd ask the experts on here...
Any thoughts/suggestions? Don't wanna get "hosed" if I can help it
Thanks in advance.

I know this is probably not the answer your looking for, but... Have you or a mechanic tried letting it sit overnight with the battery cable removed? I've fixed transmission faults in Jaguars this way as well as some other dumb issues with my range rover.
Actually the pcm is covered but the transmission ecu isn't. And since both has to be programmed then you have to pay. You can get the pcm programmed for a problem but when you come back with a problem you have to pay to get both updated at the same time.
