Default 95 LWB vs 91 Country (see details)

My neighbor is offering me one of his Range Rovers; either a 1995 LWB with 115k miles or a 91 Country with 74K original miles.

Overall after inspection there is nothing huge separating the two other than mileage. The LWB needs a manifold and breaks and the Country needs breaks and some sunroof work.

My main question is- I'm a longtime disco 2 owner but not familiar with anything pre- 1999.

Pros and cons of the LWB 95 vs the Country 91?

side note: the LWB had the air suspension changed out for coils in 2006

What do you want to do with the Range Rover. If you're going to build it up and off road it, by all means use the '91. If you're looking for a truck to keep for a long time then the '95 is the way to go. Just be prepared, should you opt for the '95, there are parts on that truck's interior that are as rare as hen's teeth and they cost a fortune to replace.

If I had my choice, I'd take the '95 and start squirreling away parts as soon as I can. But, I haven't taken my Rovers off road in about ten years. Your intentions may be different.

Yes - this is true...You may want to consider looking for a parts truck. I've done it each time I've had a '95 LWB. And even though mine doesn't need to be perfect, I still stockpile parts for this year/model. Just in case...

Depending on where you live, if you opt for the '91, I might make a run at the '95...
