Except the study of others' experience. Good job. And IMHO, radio code and serpantine belt route should be under clear plastic shipping tape inside glove box, door frame, or some out of the way spot, never know when you will need them...

Default Radio doesn't play

I have a 97 Range Rover 4.0
Recently I've been having problems with the battery, if i don't drive the car for 24 hours the battery will die and i would have to jump it. the last time i jumped it i went to put in the code in the radio and i noticed the LED screen wasn't lit, so after i put the code it, the radio seemed to work but no sound would come out. I can change radio channels and go between cassette and cd but no sound comes out. Has anyone had this problem? How to solve it?

Thanks

1997 range rover p38
We had to remove the battery tray to do some work. This required removing the battery and unplugging the ecu. Of course I was careful to have the battery disconnected before unplugging the ECU and reconnecting the ecu carefully before re attaching the battery. All the window setting went fine (after multiple attempts) as usual but there is absolutely no response from the sunroof.
We checked the fuse and found it fine. Using my test light at the sunroof motor plug, found that where there was voltage, there was no change while pushing the open/close. In the same respect, where there was no voltage, there was no change while pushing open, close.
What would be the next step in my diagnostic adventure?
On a side note, I found that I am able to manually open close with the tool. My intent was to see if the vehicle would give an open sunroof indication.
Any ideas?

you ran the sun roof all the way open and all the way closed and popped it up and down in one motion because that is how i set mine.
