Default Bilstein 5150 Resevoir Location

Well my Bilsteins 5150's finally arrived for the front. I have the adapter kit for them. I am a little disappointed at the location of the reservoir when using this kit. You have no choice but to have the sensitive and vulnerable reservoir mounted on the bottom. It would be much better suited to have the reservoir mounted at the top to protect it from off road hazards. I have never seen any serious off road vehicles with a reservoir shock mounted in this orientation. For those of you who have done this install, where did you locate your reservoir? On mine I oriented it so that the reservoir is facing the rear of the vehicle. My reasoning for that was that I felt it would have more threats coming from the front. What do you think?
