I really don't care how you decide to sign off on your notes. I just have my opinion as an outsider on what it portrays. I have several cars, like you it seems, and choose not to list them. It appears that I may be a bit more humble though. I have been buying cars for many years and have probably had more than you could imagine. I have been on many forums throughout the years concerning many different makes and models, so I am not new to this.

I enjoy this forum to learn more about the vehicle I have recently purchased. We all have valuable input we can give for whatever reason it may be.

Believe me, I am definitely not in a car competition with anybody. My cars are all pretty regular but I like them and I like to list them as I feel thatit is pertinent. I also like to see what other cars people have because I find itinteresting andsometimes like to inquire about another car type for one reason or another (usually through a PM).

Finally, I am 32 so I would fully anticipate that you have had way more cars than me (most people have). I have only had a handful over the last 10years (10 years ago I had my first car; Honda Accord Coupe!!!).

With that said,I will loop back to the original statement and put your mind at ease. I am not an arrogant person and come from very humble roots. I just like cars too much!

Hi,
Well, I took the truck to the dealer on wednesday for them to put the license plate. Spoke to the service manager and told him about the noise I mentioned here. There some else I have to tell you, the noise does not go away when the truck starts. Its there always.
Also my brakes make noise when I brake lightly. You know when you are at a toll booth and you only brake lightly you hear a horrible squeaking noise.
They gave me a LR2loaner and I took off.
Hecalled me to tell me that the noise is normal. He said they open the hood of other 2008 RR and some had it lower and some had it higher but that it was there! He also explained to me that the squaking noise of the brakes was "normal" and that they couldnt do anything about it. I said " well, its very annoying. I want it fixed" I dont want to hear that squaking noise.
He said they were gonna replace the front brake pads.(FYIthe truckonlyhas 800 miles)
Today they will call me to pick up the truck but where I live its snowing a lot so no chance of me driving two hours each way to get my truck.
When I'll get the paper work I will fill you up with the technical information about the noise under the hood, I just cant remember now where he said it was coming from.

-Why we put the cars we own here? Well, I love cars, Unfortunately! Im 35 and Ive spent a lot of money in the last 15 yearson newcars. But I dont regreat it. I guess one day I listed my fleet back in 2001 in a BMW forum and just did it again and again and again. If you really want to know the reason why people list their cars do a search on google! Make a new post and find out so you can share with us your conclusions (perhaps maybe some people here would like to know that).

Thanks for the update on the car and I will be curious to hear what they do about the noise.

You sure didn't have your E very long! I also had that car (mine was a 2004 but still a W211). I traded mine for the LS but I must say that I miss it in some ways. If I had all of the money in the world I would have never sold any of them and would drive them all.

U r right about that luxury1!!!

Well here is the update:
1)They replaced both front and rear brake pads, so there is no more squaking noise!
2) They told me that the noise was coming from the " throttle housing" and that it was "normal". I have the paperwork and they stated that it was normal, so I have it for my records if I ever need it in the future. "throttle housing buzz is normal".
Happy Holidays
