Check Engine Light

Have had the code scanned at ALL parts stores and comes up with no code.....but my check engine light is still on!!!

Any suggestions?? Truck runs fine!

1997 Ranger Rover 4.6HSE, 111k miles. Just changed plugs and wires (bosch +4's and magencore 8mm wires) and the light came back on

Are you sure it is a check engine light and not the service light?

Positive it is the check engine light........light reads "Check Engine". Was off for a couple days, just relit this afternoon sitting at a stop light.
