Default Check engine light that won’t go away

I have a check engine light on my 06 RR that simply does not go away. Just some history on this, when we purchased the vehicle the dealership has recommended changing the DMTL pump as there was an error code for ‘evaporation emission system leak detected’. We had our mechanic change the DMTL pump, the light went away for 2 days then back on, he has now changed some of the hoses as well, but after 2 days the light is back on.

Just stopped at Advance Auto parts and had them pull the codes and they are:

P0316 – Misfire on startup first 1000 revolutions
P2402 - for evaporative emission system leak detected
P0308 – Cylinder 8 misfire pending

The spark plugs were recently changed as well. Can someone point me in the right direction with regards to getting rid of all these codes? My mechanic is in Europe, but will bring it back to him next week, just looking for pointers on getting this fixed once and for all.

Just an educated guess, but sounds like purge solenoid could be stuck open. That could possibly explain both the "Evap Leak" and Misfire on startup.

DMTL pumps are common, but the BEST way to check for Evap leaks though, is a smoke test.

You can use a code reader or cable to clear them. But I heard the lights will come back after sometime, then you should clear them again...
