Default Considering a 2003-04 HSE

I'm considering purchasing a 2003/04 RR HSE but have heard a lot of negative comments regarding reliability and quality. They score below average in several areas according to JDPower.com, although they score among the best when it comes to comfort, performance, features etc.. What I'm trying to find out is just how many times per year on average these things need to go into the shop not including standard maintenance. Please post your experience.

[S] severe: Stranded needed to tow vehicle to shop.
[M] moderate: Issue required immediate attention but was still in operation.
[N] nuisance: Operation of major components unaffected.

[$$$$] > $5,000.00
[$$$] > $1,000.00
[$$] > $500.00
[$] < $500.00

example:
<LEVEL>/<COST>: <PROBLEM>
S/$$$$: TRANSMISSION
M/$$$: SUSPENSION

Thanks
