Default Considering an 01 HSE

I am considering an 01 HSE with 84k miles, and had a couple questions. I am very worried about the reliability of these vehicles from what research I have done so far, however I really like the styling, comfort, and potential off road ability(former Jeep enthusiest). I am wondering what major red flagsI need to look for if I go to look at one of these vehicles. Also, I tow a boat every now and then. With gas, gear, and trailer is weighs in around 4200 lbs.Never tow more than 35 or 40 miles. Can this vehicle tow the boat ok? Might current SUV with a 3.0 V6 struggles with it a bit.Any input would be helpfull. Thanks

You will be fine with the weight of your boat.
Yes, Rovers have their little glitches but over all they are a great vehicle.
Will you be able to get the old service records?
Once you get it, I'll send you a list of maintance items that will be a must.
