Could it be the timing belt tensioner?
Seriously...this forum is awesome and full of great info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So here is the story. 04 RR and I love it. I have an extended warranty good for about 4k more miles. It is not my daily driver. I have noticed on a number of occasions if it sits for 2-4 days without being cranked and I go to crank it; it cranks rough. Doesn't run rough after the crank or anything. Just the initial crank is rough. It always cranks up and doesn't act otherwise but sounds poor. My very trusted mechanic said it could be the timing belt tensioner. I have no clue what that truely is. He admits he doesn't work on Land Rover and will only do minor things for me. He of course said take it to the dealer.
Before I go that route I wanted to make sure there were not any other suggestions. I have found if I point them in the right direction when I go they tend to not point out other things that "could" be changed as well. Being the fact I love cars but stink at working on them; those trips never turn out well for the pocket book.
