my girlfriend has a rr 2001, had been making a squeelling sound for about a week or so, b/4 she could take and have checked it will not start, cranks fine just won't start.any suggestions?
The squealing sound is most likely not related to a crank sensor problem. It is either the belts, or something being driven by the belts, like the alternator, water pump etc. I would find out what is making the squealing noise before it turns into a major problem. Your starting problem might be a crank sensor, or various other issues. Check first to see if you are getting fuel pressure or spark.

Check the Fuel pump fuses, mine blew when my alternator went out. I bet that is where the squeeling is coming from.

Hey Guys,

Will the crankshaft sensor also cause no pressure in the fuel rails? Or would that be a fuel pump issue?
