Cam sensor VS. crank sensor
I'm having trouble's with my '99 Disco II. it starts up fine, it drives fine for about 10-20 minutes then if I stop in some where and come back out it sounds like it's mis firing and and sluggish when excelerating. I have read many posts on the forum and can figure out whether it is the cam sensor or the crank sensor. I did go to auto zone and have them pull the codes and it did come back as cylinder misfire and cam sensor failure. I'm guessing it is the cam sensor, but would like some thoughts on those of you that have been in my boat...and is this the same sensor by the water pump, meaning you have to pull the radiator and fan to get to it. I hate doing that and am hoping for just one easy fix on this beast, any help or thoughts would be appreciated. thanks guys you always help
Codes were p1300, p0300, p03470 p1562, like I said it starts out fine but when it gets up to temp and I shut it down and restart it, it hesitates and sputters in excelleration I did just swap out the water pump right before this started, I may have damaged the cam sensor if it is close to the water pump
