Default Does anyone know what this problem is?

I will try to explain the best I can. 1993 SWB (133,000 miles). Today I was towing my boat and my vehicle skipped several times. I noticed that the tach would drop about 1000 rpm and then immediately go back up, this would happen several times and then it would all go back to normal. I figured maybe it was towing the boat that was causing this. So I dropped the boat and headed out. It ran fine for about a mile and then from a red light it started it again, like it was not getting fuel all of a sudden and then getting it again. But with that said I can't get it to do it in park.

Ok, I let it rest a while, but not until it was cold, and the problem continued. But I drove it 15 minutes later (trying to figure out what is going on) and it didn't do it again. I had a little under a quarter tank of gas, I don't know if this is the fuel pump heating up, or something much worse.

If you got any suggestions, my ears are open.

Thanks.

Well your problem seems to be a critical one. Just let me know whether your engine is in proper order? Will it getting overheated. What's about your mileage? How far have you drive it till now? Best option though to contact your nearest dealer though.

Do you actually feel a power loss when the tach drops, or is it all in the tach. If you don't feel any power surges, you most likely have a alternator failing, which is common and the tack will bounce.
