Default Engine won’t start

Long story short, I went to start the engine and it wouldn’t start, it acted as if the battery was completely dead. No electrical came on. So I charged the battery for a few hours and tried starting it. When I put the key in all the electrical came on. But as soon as I turned the key to start the engine it clicked once and all power shut off like a breaker was switched. I had to unplug and plug the battery back in to get the electrical to come back on, but once I try to start it again the power shuts off.

The positive battery cable was replaced and the battery was checked. Battery is brand new and holds a good charge. But still getting same issue. No start, and no sound from starter. All power completely shuts off as soon as I turn the key.

Any suggestions? Is this a starter issue?

make sure BOTH battery cables are tight, and by tight I mean tighten the clamps until you think they are tight, then go a half turn more. you should not be able to move them at all by hand or otherwise.

Sounds like something started to become loose and now it's not connected well enough to transfer enough power to start it. I would check all your large power cables that run from the alternator to starter to fuse box etc. and grounds. Look for corrosion too, my old RR had a ground that looked fine but when I split it open it was extremely corroded.
